Effects of Dwarfism
The symptoms of Dwarfism appear at birth when the disorder is diagnosed by appearance. Some symptoms of this disorder include:
short stature and limbs
large appearing head with prominent forehead
marked curvature of the back
decreased muscle tone and unsteady walking
a flattened bridge of the nose
flat, short broad feet
crowded and misaligned teeth
protruding jaw
People with Dwarfism usually live to have an average life span.
All races and sexes are affected by Dwarfism and about 1 in every 20,000 babies are affected by Achondroplasia.
Achondroplasia is actually responsible for about 70 percent of dwarfism cases.
